Project ENEREGIO SOBOS
Energy Region Southeast Bavaria-Upper Austria-Salzburg (SOBOS)
RCR was selected as a project partner in the European Union's cross-border funding project Eneregio SOBOS for cross-border energy projects.
Objective was to establish a combined heat grid in the Berchtesgaden –Traunstein–Salzburg and Inn-Salzach region.
Project area is located geologically in the Upper Jurassic Malmkarst region, which allows for the hydrothermal utilization of deep geothermal energy.
This area has a high industrial density with as well as large heat sink potential (building stock in towns and villages, heat demand for agricultural food production, and heat demand for production and process heat for industry).
